Building a national distributed e-Infrastructure - PL-Grid: scientific and technical achievements

More than 2 years ago European Grid has entered a new era of shifting from regional federations to national initiatives. Poland began the construction of its own national grid infrastructure (PL-Grid) in 2007. And the book covering this experience has published recently: "Building a national distributed e-Infrastructure - PL-Grid" (Springer, 2012). This is the story about the creation of the NGI in tight cooperation with scientific society. The book contains 26 scientific articles, 5 chapters, glossary, and embraces a wide range of topics: from middleware integration and service operations, security and quality of service, to training and results sharing.
